January 2017 Favorites

Rose Gold iPhone 7¬†– Unfortunately I dropped my phone right after the holidays and, while I thought the thing was indestructible, it ended up not working after it took it’s last hit. That meant I needed an upgrade. Shucks ūüôā . This is literally the best phone I’ve ever had! I love the size, color, and quality.¬†It’s perfect for me.

Clear Mandala Phone Case¬†– So of course I had to get something pretty to keep this one safe. I opted for a clear, mandala-patterned back case so that the pink could shine through. I paired it with a clear screen protector and now I’m all set!

Moleskine 2017 Weekly Planner РThis baby has been keeping me organized already. I love the layout of this planner because it includes daily, weekly, and monthly layouts. I set a lot of different types of goals this year and think the process of tracking everything in this planner will help me stick to them.

Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Lip Gloss¬†– I’m not sure why, but this lippie in the shade “Birthday Babe” has been on repeat for me in January because I’m more comfortable with a color on my lips, but this has been an easy transition into neutrals for me. It’s a great winter shade and a comfortable wear.

Real Techniques Blush Brush¬†– You need this brush!!! The size, hands down, is my favorite part. I didn’t realize the pain I was putting myself through with smaller blush brushes until I got this baby and having been seriously loving it.

Clean and Clear Shower Mask¬†– I got this in a recent Walmart Beauty Box¬†as a sample and liked it so much that I purchased the full sized version. This works nicely for me in the shower after I do a deep face exfoliation. It’s a nice way to get moisture back into the skin and fully cleanse the surface of your face.

Walmart Beauty Box – Fall 2016

Who else loves seasonal beauty subscriptions?! I think I’ve been subscribed to this service for a year now, though have only showcased one other box on my blog,¬†and definitely think this is the best Walmart Beauty Box I’ve gotten so far!

Like I’ve mentioned before,¬†Walmart offers this¬†seasonal box¬†for $5 per month, which is charged and received around the start of every new season, so 4 times per year. About 6-8 samples are sent in each shipment and if you are interested you can click¬†here¬†to sign up.¬†I like to¬†use the Walmart Beauty Box to stock up on mini-sized items… super helpful for travel and you get more bang for your buck this way!!!

Here is what I got this month…

Brush cleaning cloths, biotin gummies, charcoal pore strips, bath salts, dry shampoo, toothpaste, a shower mask, lotion, and a body cream. Does it get any better than this?! I literally can’t decide what I’m most excited for but have to say that Batiste, Clean & Clear, and Village Naturals products probably top the list.

If you do end up¬†signing up for this service, I like to warn my followers to not expect many makeup products or trendy names because I know (for me at least) that’s common to look forward to in a beauty subscription.¬†You can expect items that are more geared toward drugstore essentials.¬†It’s a great box and I would totally recommend giving it a shot, especially if you don’t want to pay the hefty price that other boxes require, XOXO.

Be A Bombshell Cosmetics – Nail Polish:¬†I received the shade “Holy Fuchsia” and think this will be oh-so perfect for fall! I love deep, vampy colors on my nails.

Eva NYC – Forget Me Knot Dry Conditioner: Never have I ever even heard of a dry conditioner. I honestly just used it like I would a dry shampoo to cover up oil on day three hair. It did work nicely and smells amazing.

Trestique – Mini Highlight Stic: Because I use powder on the daily, I don’t tend to reach for cream highlights. The shade I got¬†is¬†“Maldives Luminescent” and it does not show up well on me even pre-powder, so I’ll be passing this along to a friend. (Love this brand, though!)

Too Faced – Lip Injection Extreme: I haven’t tried a lip plumper in years and am totally in love with¬†this one!¬†The effects visibly show within 15 minutes. It goes on clear with subtle shimmer and tingles just a tad at first. The only thing I don’t care for is the scent and taste, which both remind me of candied grapefruit.

NUXE – Moisturizing Mask Creme Fraiche de Beaute: This will be super helpful for me in the colder months to come. I am typically pretty oily but when winter rolls around my skin needs a little bit more moisture, XOXO.

Ipsy June 2016 – Preview

I’m seriously looking forward to¬†every single item I’m getting this month! I’m most excited for¬†the blush. It ¬†will be fun¬†to try out a new-to-me brand and expand my collection.

There is honestly nothing in this mix that I am least excited for, however the eye shadow and eye pencil come in different shades this month and if I get the red shadow or brown pencil I won’t be entirely happy with those. (I posted photos of the purple shadow and black pencil to send out good vibes :).)

The masks will come in handy as well as the brush… those are two items that I will totally put to great use!!! Looks like a good month to me, XOXO.

Freeman Masks Review

I love these masks!!! First of all, they are¬†very affordable at around $5 apiece. Second, they are¬†sold in sample sizes, which is perfect for a girl’s night in, traveling, or to just try a few out if you’re curious. Lastly (and most importantly), they do what they say they will. I’m making it a point to try every mask-type¬†product in the Freeman line, but haven’t gotten quite that far yet.

Here are the ones I have tried so far…

Avocado & Oatmeal Clay Mask РPerfect for firming skin and reducing oil. This works well for controlling acne breakouts.

Mint & Lemon Clay Mask РFirms skin, reduces oil, and the mint/lemon combo will leave your skin feeling super refreshed. My favorite so far!

Charcoal & Black Sugar Polish Mask¬†– Did not work out for me. Very gooey formula that never did dry on my face, which I wasn’t expecting considering it is advertised as both a charcoal product and a mask.

Honeydew & Chamomile¬†Sleeping Mask – Not your traditional “mask”, this is more of¬†a deep moisturizer. It works¬†great for extra dry parts of your face.

Sparkling Pear Pore Cleansing Mask РA lighter whipped clay mask. Does not firm up as tight. Would be a  good option for summer or if you have less oily skin.

Be on the lookout for another Freeman mask review… I am so obsessed with them¬†and have lots more waiting ¬†to be tried out. Using them nightly has done wonders for my skin. Check out a few if you get the chance,¬†XOXO.
