This wine is near and dear to my heart because it is one that we served at our wedding. Part of why we picked it is because this wine is a good option for both sweet and dry white wine lovers. It has the perfect compromise between sweet summer pineapple and dry tart apple. I’m also from Wisconsin, so love to support Cedarcreek as a local winery in my area.

Argentinian Sauvignon Blanc
As you can tell by the photo above, I have certainly been enjoying this warm weather :).
Last night I tried another white that matched perfectly with the sunshine. The back label describes this wine as having “bright aromas of fresh pink grapefruit that mingle with floral notes” and I fully agree. It has a nice amount of mineral balance and the finish is so yummy that you just have to try it for yourself!
Until next wine, XOXO.
White Italian Blend
Talk about a perfect wine for the spring season, this baby is it!!! It’s a half pinot grigio, half sauvignon blanc blend… “due uve” literally means two grapes so that is very fitting. Medium body with hints of citrus fruit and a balanced acidity on the finish. Not too sweet and not too dry. Loved it, XOXO.
Californian Cabernet Sauvignon
What a yummy Monday night wine! (And oh, what a Monday it was…) This cab is mid-weight, rich, and has hints of bold fruit with a soft-lasting tannin finish. Beautiful dark color and wonderful taste that is very drinkable alone. Visit the Josh Cellars website for more background, history, and information about their wines, XOXO.
Chilean Unoaked Chardonnay
Those who know me best know that I love a regular glass (bottle) of wine. Recently I’ve wanted to learn more about wine and try as many new ones as I can get my hands on! My mom got me a really nice wine book for my birthday this past year and I have been using it to guide my adventure in becoming more knowledgeable about wine.
Yesterday was one of the first warm weather days of the new year in my area and I celebrated by breaking out this baby…
…it was the perfect warm weather treat! Very light, crisp, and full of yummy apple flavors. Not heavy or buttery at all because it is unoaked. Overall I think this is a really nice, reasonably priced option for spring and summer, which is when I like to enjoy whites the most.
Stay tuned for more information on the book I have been using and more reviews on the new wines I start to try! XOXO
