Who else LOVES essential oils? They smell great, are so versatile, and the health benefits are endless! I got this set as a Christmas gift last year and find that it is the perfect starter kit if you are interested in getting more into essential oils.
One of my most recent favorite ways to use essential oils is to make a room spray.
Interested? First you’ll need to get spray bottles. I purchased these and loved them. The blue glass protects the formula from going bad and they are really great quality for the low price. Add 1 1/2 cups distilled water and 3 ounces rubbing alcohol to the bottle. The alcohol will help the oil and water stay mixed together. Use a dropper to mix in about 30 drops of oil, and BAM, there is your room spray. So easy, right?!
My favorite combos are… Citrus Mint (10 peppermint, 20 orange), Lavender (30 lavender), and Mojito (15 peppermint, 15 lime). I use the minty ones in the bathroom because they cover up yucky smells and the lavender one I like to spray on my pillow before bedtime.
Try this out and let me know what you think, XOXO!
This is such a good idea, I’d never thought about it! Think I need to try this ☺️

It stays longer when you spray it on something. So with the pillow it lasts throughout the night. In the bathroom I spray it above the toilet where my hand towels are kept. Let me know how it works out for you!

I use essential oils for so much! I made a spray with lavender and tea tree oil to spray on sheets and bedspreads when we stay in hotels – it kills any dust mites. 🙂

I like using lavender, geranium, orange. I make so many scents. I’ve been mixing concoctions since I was about 10 when I got my first kit. I am glad you posted this. So many people need to know about essential oils and their many benefits. Well done! 🙂

It is wonderful idea to trash out the conventional harmful air freshners.
If you are interested, you can try using rosemary and eucalyptus oils as well. They add a warmth and good for sinuses to use in humidifiers as well.

Definitely going to try this. For my allergies and headaches Ive been using peppermint oil in my humidifier and sometimes a little eucalyptus as well at night and it’s gunking up my humidifier (guess mine isn’t made for oils – it said online it was). A room spray would be a great alternative. Especially since my allergies mean I can’t use fabreeze, air fresheners or 99% of scented cleaning products.

Ah, the mohito one is a great idea! I never actually thought about it.
I have recently started using a spray with tea tree oil – it is amazingly simple way to keep all bugs and spiders from my apartment. Just spray around doors and places that are good for hiding and in few days they are completely gone! Since tea tree oil have strong smell I was looking for something to cover it around living areas – mohito surely sounds like something I would love to smell when walking in to my apartment!
